Florian Riedl – Saxophon

Course description The course is aimed at all woodwind and brass players, e.g. trumpet, trombone, clarinet or flute. Participants are picked up where they are musically and given the technical and musical means to take a clear step forward. To do this, individual stumbling blocks are identified and analyzed and clear ways of eliminating them without stress are developed. The flexible and creative use of the instrument in different styles is explored and the understanding of harmonic and rhythmic sequences is sharpened. The combo work involves joint design and improvisation, shared dynamics, listening, spontaneous arranging, phrasing in a set with different instruments, interplay and understanding of genre-specific types of interaction and their expansion. Participant requirements: The course is not suitable for beginners. Please note: as a prerequisite for admission, you will be asked to send in a sample (e.g. cell phone audio recording) when registering.
